Beta Skype Conference Calls - Now use Skype-To-Skype to dial us
Greymouse is beta testing a Skype add-on for our PBX system called 'Skype For Asterisk' from Digium, this add-on allows for integration between Skype and our teleconferencing system. This enhancement allows for our teleconferencing solution to bridge calls from a 1800 Number, Local Telephone Numbers, SIP (VoIP) & Skype calls all in the same Teleconference room.
The Skype dialling method is a Skype-to-Skype call which means the participant will not incur a fee for dialling our Skype account and for the use of our service we have a discount rate for Skype calls, the host pays 5¢ per minute per Skype line for the use of our service.
One of the major benefits of this add-on is that international participants who participate on a teleconference through our service can use Skype to call and save paying ALL international calling costs. (Only 5¢ per minute to call our Skype service from anywhere in the world)
While Skype has its own conferencing feature, its limited in its delivery (As can be read here)
